I think we need to cancel: I can't be there for most of Sunday anymore and I don't have the time to try to make it so that it'll run smoothly despite that. Lets aim for the spring, when I'll have more time and flexibility to make it work better, and when we'll be able to match it up better with more potential attendees' schedules -- Shauna, do you have some idea of spring dates yet?
Thanks for your work, everyone! I'll send the cancel emails out to the people who have already responded to us (and keep track of them to notify of the plans next time), and I'll update the website to show that we're cancelling and rescheduling. Is there anyone -- outside of our mentor list and our student sign-ups -- that I should also tell?

You should definitely get confirmations from the sign-ups you do have.
W/r/t to the 30 or so contacts on the old Publicity Spreadsheet -- I looked at the Facebook group and didn't see an announcement (< https://www.facebook.com/groups/PurdueCS/ >). Are you pretty sure most of those places got pinged? Perhaps we should put another announcement in the FB group?

Hmmm. So we do have 6 sign-ups, which is not the 0 I thought we had. What is the minimum acceptable for this event? For you guys -- I'm fine with an event of 5 or an event of 50. I want to give us time to postpone if you don't think it's worthwhile to go ahead. (For the record, the smallest event we've ever held had 8 attendees, 5 mentors, and was a blast.)

I also sent the announcement to PLUG, which I was hoping to get some volunteers from, but I haven't heard from anyone there so I'll push on that later today. Eehita, did you get any notification from the people you emailed that they did send the announcement out?
I'm not sure what can be done, actually: we had just as much lead time for the last event and got a healthy amount of signups by now, so we might just be getting unlucky. Our own org also scheduled another day-long event for this weekend so we probably split our attendee base in half just with that.
