I should probably not be surprised at who's on the Boston mailing list.
Hey there, Luke and Ryan, and whoever else is lurking. Nice to see you
folks again! (And thanks for the pointer to the more recent version,
Luke -- I see it's got a GASP chapter too...)
I haven't thought much about interesting python libraries, other than
possibly pygame; I was debating including that, but attendees are
supposed to bring laptops, and the venue has wifi, so we can also
download things. But maybe it would be worthwhile to include a few
libraries, plus a folder of simple sample projects/code to give
attendees an idea of possibilities -- are the projects from previous
workshops out somewhere?
In general, for the stick right now, I'm looking for direct links to
files (pdf or otherwise). I'm traveling like a maniac for school and
work right now and barely have time to stick them into a giant tarball
so our donors can load them on the stick. But if someone has the time to
integrate a super-duper "put this on a 1GB stick" Beginner Python
Workshop image, that would be awesome. That person just isn't me. :)
