(As you requested, below is a copy of the email you just sent.)
Your Event Organizer, Catherine Devlin, sent the following message to some
members of IndyPy Meetup:
Hi, volunteers! (Correct me if I'm wrong; I believe you're all coming as
volunteers rather than students)
Here's what you need to know for this weekend:
Schedule
The overall schedule is at
https://openhatch.org/wiki/Indianapolis_Python_Workshop
There won't be any need for TAs during the Saturday morning lecture, so
there are three time periods when participants will be doing hands-on work
and occasionally needing help:
Friday night setup and self-intro, 6:00-9:00
https://openhatch.org/wiki/Indianapolis_Python_Workshop_1/Friday
Saturday morning warmup, 9:30-10
http://codingbat.com/home/bostonpythonworkshop@gmail.com/SaturdayMorning
Saturday afternoon project time, 1:00 - 4:00
https://openhatch.org/wiki/Indianapolis_Python_Workshop_1/Saturday_projects
I created a Doodle page where you can indicate which time slots you expect
to work:
http://www.doodle.com/duuat356q8pct5hh
Don't feel obligated to volunteer for more than you can do easily; Mel,
Jessica, and I will always be there, so it's OK if not all time slots have
volunteers. We'd like to get an idea in advance of when we can expect
extra help, though.
Preparation
Look through the link beneath the description of the time slot(s) you
expect to help out during. Depending on the time slots you'll be helping
out during, get some familiarity with running through the Friday evening
checkoff, using CodingBat, and/or the Twitter project. Mostly, though, we
just need your friendly, Pythony brain.
Thanks! See you this weekend - and keep inviting people! We have plenty
of room still and it would be a shame not to fill the workshop up.
