Hello Shaifali,
It's great that you are hosting an event to introduce people to Python. I
have hosted a few of them in the past at a smaller scale ( 5 to 10 people).
Some things I tried to follow are:
1) Jessica McKellar's Intro to Python tutorial at Pycon. She does it almost
every year and it's brilliant. Here's the link to this year's tutorial.

2) Materials from the Boston Python Workshop.

And also there are sources like Udacity, Codecademy etc that you can use.
