[Campus-uofa-staff] Post-event tasks

I put most of my thoughts in the response form already, so here's just
whatever additional details could think of.

- How did you feel about the materials and resources we provided? Were
they too little, or too much? Was there anything especially helpful or
especially unhelpful? This includes publicity materials, logistical
checklists, templates, etc in addition to curriculum guides and the
curriculum itself.

Everything was pretty helpful. The mail merge somehow didn't work for me,
so that wasn't very helpful. Everything else turned out to be really
helpful though. Publicity ended up being pretty easy.

- In planning and running the event, did you do anything differently from
what we recommended? How did that turn out? If you've improved our event,
we'd love to merge those changes back. :)

We didn't send the day-before reminder, but that was because we started
planning very late. Most people ended up showing up anyway. I think it
would be helpful to put parking information in emails and websites, which
we did/

- Did the event planning process, and the event itself, turn out as you
imagined it would when you first agreed to help organize? If not, please
talk a bit about where the reality differed from your expectations.

I think I didn't expect the event to be almost completely on Git and
GitHub, but that may be partly because we didn't get to show off many
custom open-source projects that people get to work on. Also, I imagined
that I'd see some OpenHatch staff in person though video chat, but I guess
that's not how it worked.

- Did you feel like you were able to communicate effectively with me
(Shauna)? Would you have appreciated more communication (regular phone
meetings/hangouts, for instance), or less, or did it seem about right?

The communications were pretty effective, I think it just got bumpy because
we couldn't always respond in time and we didn't have much time to plan.

- Overall, how would you describe the experience of organizing and running
an Open Source Comes to Campus event? Would you be interested in running
it again, or a similar event, sometime in the next couple of years? If you
are graduating, feel free to answer that hypothetically. :)

It was fun! I really enjoy organizing events, and I feel that a lot of
people got something valuable out of it. I may be interested in running a
similar event, but since I graduate May 2015, it will probably have to be a
different event.

Best,
Z
