Hello,
I would like to start a Python Workshop in the town where I currently
reside. The town of Luton <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luton> is in
the south-east of England. It is often over looked by tourists who use
its airport because it is located in a sort of calm-zone between the
buzz of London and the braniacs of Cambridge. It also differs
demographically from the surrounding areas in having a very ethnically
diverse population(~45% non white). Its a working class town with a
University and nice parks.
I come from a electronics background and have learnt all my Python with
Udacity, having completed Web-Development in Python and an Intro to CS
in Python. You can find me on LinkedIn here
<https://www.linkedin.com/pub/imran-nazir/2/402/a57> if you’re curious
about my experience.
I would like to give something back to the community and to be more
involved with the Python community. Can someone point me in the right
direction on how to get started? I am aware that there is course
material on the Boston Python site. How do I go about organising the
event? Do I need to be a super hot coder to be even considering this? Is
there anyone on this list from the same area who could join me in this
endeavour/magical quest?
I will also be attending Pycon in Coventry, England this month on Friday
and Monday. So if anyone would like to meetup to discuss this they can
find me there.
Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Imran
