Hello,

I just wanted to inform you of a class that is planned by indie game
developer Rachel Morris.

Lua will be the programming language, open source LÖVE
<https://love2d.org/> will
be the 2d game engine/library (runs perfectly fine on Linux) and open
source Java-based Tiled Map Editor <http://www.mapeditor.org/> will be the
tool for creating game environments.

Rachel is looking for feedback on her materials.

She announced her class at
http://c3kc.org/content/planning-ccckc-u-beginning-game-programming-class and
her need for feedback at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSqJt4Fo3ek .

Since there should be people on this list with experience teaching
programming to beginners and she uses open source tools for the job I
figured I should share this event here.

Cheers
Iwan
