Hi Vivek,

I think that there's a sort of trade-off between efficiency and feeling 
sort of "personal" (human).

Here's my thoughts:

The reason I came up with the plan of acceping the Affero GPL on the 
mailng list is a) it distributes a copy of the acceptance into lots of 
people's mailboxes, which strikes me as a good thing, and b) I like how it 
really gets people to join the mailing list and say hello.

I'm personally made quite happy seeing these emails from people, saying 
"Hello," and I think it also shows everyone on Devel that our community is 
growing.

So that's why I like the current system. I'm curious to hear more people's 
thoughts!
