Just in case I forget, please help me to remember on the day that we
need to get the paper receipt for the pizzas!

Hi Ben,

I just realized that in order for me to get reimbursed for the Pizza, I
need a copy of the receipt. I asked them to put the tip on my card so
you don't need t worry about that. The total should be about $518.

Please keep the receipt and return this to me sometime next week (you
can use internal mail - Box 352350) I'll also need the number of
attendees and names (if possible).

I hope it all goes well.

Cheers,
Gretchen

         Hi Shauna and Ben,

Bay Laurel just confirmed that they are not able to fill the
         order on
         Sunday morning.

If someone can pick up coffee, etc., I can process a
         reimbursement as
long as a receipt is kept and the total amount is under $320.

         Thanks!

I can order more pizzas - one more of

                               That sounds good to me.

Are you asking me to order
         bagels/donuts/fruit
                      as well? I
can do this. I just need to know.
         Bay Laurel
                      usually
                                   requires 2 weeks notice.

That would be wonderful. We've also had
         success
                      just swinging
by a grocery store + coffee shop in the
         morning and
                      getting a
few boxed coffees, a couple dozen
         bagels/donuts,
                      and one of
those fruit trays. Whatever is easiest
         for you.

         that I'm
                      helping to run.

                                                             The plan is
         for a
                      lunch of pizza
and drinks for 30 people in

         2:00 pm.

                                                             We have had
         requests for
                                               vegetarian, nondairy and
         gluten
                      free options.
                                               I'd be curious
                                                        to see if
                                                             there is a
         type of
                      pizza that
                                               could satisfy all of that!

                                                             Bill has
         agreed to
                      commit $840
                                               from eScience towards this
         event.

                                                             Thanks very

         usually
                      costs about
                                               $6-7 per person if you
provide
                      cheaper food

         (pizza, etc)
                      and more
                                               like $11-12 for something
like
                      salads or

                        sandwiches.  A typical
                                               event is 35ish people,
         although the
                      selected

         room fits up
                      to 70 and I
                                               believe we could get that
many
                      people at UW.Â
                                                                      So:
         pizza +
                      normal size
                                               event (lower bound) would
         be $210,
                      better food +
                                                                      big
         event
                      (upper bound)
                                               would be $840.  Pizza +
         big would
                      be $450ish.

                                                                      We
         may need
                      up to $100 to
                                               cover travel reimbursements
                      although I'm
                                                                      pretty
                      confident we can
                                               get mentors just from UW
         itself and
                      Seattle.

         Ben, I'd
                      suggest adding a
                                               sign-up sheet for mentors
         too on
                      the page.Â
                                                                      We can
                      probably find
                                               enough mentors through
         networking
                      but there's

         usually one
                      or two people
                                               we find through the publicity
                      website and it's

         cool to meet
                      new people. Â

         how to get

                      interested in

                                               support for food (typically
                      breakfast/coffee,

                                               individuals) and travel
         for mentors
