[Campus-columbia-staff] getting ready for tomorrow

Hello wonderful mentors and organizers!

I have a few more questions to ask and things to go over before the event
tomorrow. Please take a quick look and respond as needed:

   -

Github Repositories: For the practicing git activity, we’ve made some
toy repositories for you to work with. Alex, Ben, Travis, Nate, Nik and
anyone else who wants to lead a git activity - can you give me your github
usernames so I can add you as admins?

   -

We could use one or two more people leading projects during the
contributions workshop! If you’re willing to do this, but don’t have your
own project, that’s okay. Please email me and we can find something that
you and I can pair with (with me guiding remotely, and you helping students
in person, looking for people getting stuck, etc.)

   - If you have any difficulty finding the room, etc, please contact
student organizer Nate Brennand (360-584-7116). The room can be a little
difficult to get to, so Nate, perhaps you want to chime in with some
   detailed directions?

   -

This event has a Code of Conduct
   <https://openhatch.org/wiki/OpenHatch_event_code_of_conduct>. My
apologies for not sending an email about this earlier! If you experience a
violation of the CoC or have one reported to you, please get in contact
with me ASAP, either via email (shaunagm at gmail.com) or phone
(240-483-3555). We also ask that folks try to follow the Hacker School
   Social Rules <https://www.hackerschool.com/manual#sub-sec-social-rules>.
Basically: let’s try to make this a fun, empowering, positive experience
   for everyone! :)

   -

Because we’re running 5 events tomorrow, #openhatch will be very busy.
We’re creating another channel, #openhatch-columbia, for you all to hang
out in as well. This info should be provided at the event as well, but I
thought I’d give you a heads up.

Okay, I think that’s everything! If folks are looking for something to do
during the contributions workshop, let me know, because I can definitely
find you projects or tasks to work on. :) As always, let me know if you
need anything.

best

Shauna
