We usually give it about half an hour but panels sometimes run as long as
an hour. It depends on how into the discussion the students and panelists
get.
Panelists usually talk about their experiences getting started in open
source, how they got their current job and how open source helped them, the
work they do, etc. Occasionally folks like Marina who are part of
educational initiatives talk about how students can get involved in those
programs.
I've asked Marina and put a call out to our partners at Mozilla. I'll also
ask around re: getting someone from Google or Amazon. I was also thinking,
for the third person, of trying to get someone who works on open source in
the government. Does that sound cool?
