Oof that's low. If I'd known you had 20 sign-ups, I would have pushed you
to do more publicity -- a 50% no-show rate is not usual. But 4 is 20% of
sign-ups, which is really unexpectedly low. I'm not sure what happened,
other than bad luck.
I apologize for not checking in on the # of sign-ups.
I'd say email the rest a reminder. At this point there is little else you
can do. That said, a small number of students doesn't mean the event can't
be a success. Enjoy yourselves! Think of it as a good chance to bond with
the students who did come and the professors/mentors you had and to learn
more about these topics yourselves. :)
