I don't think the install process will be bandwidth-limited, so USB keys
won't make a big difference. We'll see, though; if things look bandwidth-
limited, then we'll try this!

I'm not such a fan of bootable OSs, as I want to teach people skills that
they can keep using on their own computers (the way they are), if possible.
But if we find that there's skills we just can't teach without super complex
setup, that is a good route to go.
