[Devel] [issue476] project importer stalls

I added my GitHub username and my email address and clicked Submit. Now the project importer 
doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Update: Suddenly the progress bar jumped to 100%, but no projects were added to my portfolio, 
and when I went back to the project importer, it was back at square one.
